Unakite is a metamorphic rock composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and colorless quartz. It was first described in the Unaka Mountains of North Carolina (hence its name) and is also found in Virginia, South Africa, and Brazil. It's sometimes called "Epidosite" or "Unakite Jasper," though it's technically a rock rather than a mineral. The combination of its three components — each with distinct metaphysical properties — is what gives Unakite its uniquely balanced, integrative energy.
